Thomas Datwyler - Accountant and Accomplished Marathon Runner
An accomplished accountant and compliance specialist, Thomas Datwyler has extensive experience in political campaign finance, federal reporting, and treasury management. Since 2009, he has led 9Seven Consulting, providing accounting, budgeting, and compliance oversight for over 400 clients, including the campaigns of members of Congress and the US Senate. In 2016, Thomas Datwyler served as controller for Marco Rubio for President, overseeing accounting operations, financial forecasting, and compliance during a high-profile national campaign.
Mr. Datwyler manages a team of 10, develops tailored accounting systems, and ensures adherence to Federal Election Commission (FEC) and state regulations. His work has included reconciling thousands of bank statements and filing more than 10,000 FEC and state reports.
Thomas Datwyler holds a BA in accounting and finance from Bethany Lutheran College, where he also competed in cross-country and track. An experienced athlete, he participates in running and triathlon clubs and competes in events ranging from 5Ks to international marathons, including the world’s major city races. He completed the Boston Marathon three times, recording a personal best of 2:43:56. His other race achievements include a half-marathon best of 1:14:52, a 10-mile time of 57:25, and a 10K time of 34:15.
